LOCATIONS AND AIRPORTS
During the initial stages of our business, we will operate out of the the Northwest of Portugal (Coimbra, Aveiro and Porto). Tracks are 30 mins to 1.30 hours from Porto Airport, the ideal Airport to fly into for our experiences. Lisbon is also quite feasible, 2-3 hours away depending on the track of choice.
TRANSPORT
Car rental is extremely accessible in Portugal, as low as 2/3 Euros per day if you don’t opt for the usual car hire insurance and just leave a 1000-2000 Euro refundable deposit depending on the company and car.
Alternatively, our all inclusive packages include collection from / to the airport and your hotel.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS / CLOTHING
The type of tracks we currently use are fairly relaxed in terms of safety regulations.
We will always provide you with a helmet for your safety, but after that we’ll leave it to your discretion on how to dress. It’s always recommended to cover your skin completely in case of a fire, but we also understand it gets very hot inside a drift car, especially in the Portuguese summer.
DAMAGE TO THE CARS - LIABILITY
Drifting is one of the most if not THE most risky form of motorsport to a vehicle. When you’re pushing the limits or simply just having fun, things will happen sometimes.
Just like in your own car, if you crash or cause mechanical damage to the car due to a driver error, we expect you to cover it - this will unfortunately include someone spinning in front of you, causing a crash.
We are investigating insurance options to offer to our customers - but until then, we will operate exactly as a typical car rental business, taking a fully refundable deposit to cover potential damages to the cars. Amounts will vary depending on the value of the car and the parts in it, this will be visible when booking.
Mechanical failures outside your control (random engine failure, broken components due to wear, etc.) will be on us.
As drifters ourselves and enjoyers of awesome driving, minor bodywork damage from tandem (door marks) or scrapping walls will be cheered on and not accounted for, so long as you’re not denting / breaking panels.
